AKIOS / INOVA

Trade Account Application & Terms of Business

Minimum Trade Account Requirements

Applications will only be considered where the applicant can demonstrate:

1. Established Retail Business

Applicants must operate as a legitimate retail fishing tackle business, including:

  • A permanent bricks-and-mortar retail premises
  • Active trading history
  • Appropriate business registration

2. Retail Premises Verification

Applicants must provide:

  • Clear external photographs of the premises
  • Internal photographs showing retail displays
  • Visible business signage

Applications without photographic evidence will not be considered.

3. Trade References

A minimum of two current trade references from recognised fishing tackle suppliers / wholesalers must be supplied.

Each reference should include:

  • Company name
  • Contact name
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Length of trading relationship

4. Trading Commitment

All approved accounts will operate under a mutually agreed monthly purchasing commitment.

This commitment will be:

  • Agreed at the point of account approval
  • Reviewed periodically based on trading performance
  • Subject to adjustment at the discretion of AKIOS / INOVA

Failure to maintain agreed trading levels may result in account review or amendment of trading terms.

5. Alternative Retail Models

Applications from online-only retailers, marketplace sellers (including eBay or Amazon), and home-based businesses will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

While our standard requirement is for established bricks-and-mortar retail premises, we recognise that some businesses may be in earlier or transitional stages of development.

In such cases, AKIOS / INOVA welcomes the opportunity to discuss your application, particularly where there is:

  • A clear plan to develop into a physical retail environment
  • Demonstrated business growth and investment
  • Strong alignment with our brand positioning
  • Commitment to long-term partnership

Any approval under these circumstances will be subject to enhanced review and may include specific trading conditions or performance criteria.

ACCOUNT TERMS

New Accounts

All approved new accounts will trade on a Pro Forma basis for their first three orders, subject to:

  • Minimum order value of £250.00 ex VAT per order
  • Payment in full prior to dispatch

Following satisfactory trading history, accounts may be considered for credit facilities.

All credit facilities are granted strictly at the discretion of AKIOS / INOVA.

Credit Terms

Where credit facilities are approved:

  • Payment terms are strictly 30 days from invoice date
  • Credit limits are individually assessed
  • AKIOS / INOVA reserves the right to amend or withdraw credit facilities at any time

Late payment may result in:

  • Suspension of supply
  • Withdrawal of credit facilities
  • Interest charges in accordance with applicable UK legislation

RETENTION OF TITLE

All goods supplied remain the property of AKIOS / INOVA until payment is received in full.

If payment becomes overdue, AKIOS / INOVA reserves the right to recover goods and may enter business premises for this purpose where legally permitted.

Flat rate: £9.95

Rod Deliveries (Orders Under £250)

Up to 1.95m: £23.00
Up to 2.30m: £29.00

Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland & International Orders

All shipping charges will be quoted individually at the time of order, based on:

  • Order size
  • Product type
  • Delivery location

RETURNS & FAULTY GOODS

All returns must be authorised in advance.

Unauthorised returns may be refused.

WARRANTY

All products are covered by a 12-month manufacturer warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.

Warranty claims require:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Product registration via our website
  • Compliance with warranty conditions

The warranty excludes:

  • Misuse
  • Accidental damage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Improper handling or storage

  • Amend pricing
  • Update specifications
  • Correct errors or omissions
  • Withdraw products without prior notice

All data will be handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
